bàn 🎧
companion, n. — someone who stays with you and works alongside you.
伴:名词。一直陪着、和你一起做事的人。

the lsl work was getting old fast. then a simpler idea: what if i could just talk to a model while i was in the world, the way i'd talked to gpt from the terminal a year earlier? no separate window, no copy-paste. the chat right there, in the same place i was working

a chat in the world

a few days after the lsl2lua trail, a /claude command appeared in the client chat. typing /claude opened a conversation with a model, right inside the client. it was exploratory — i wanted to know if a chat could live in the world the way it had lived in the terminal, and do real work from there

why it mattered

it wasn't a plan. it was curiosity about the same thing i'd wondered about with terminal-gpt: a chat that sits where the work is, and can act on it. putting a chat into the world, where the objects and scripts actually live, was the natural next step of that same thought

伴 is a companion — and the idea that a chat could be a companion inside the world, not a page you tab away to, was taking shape. where it would lead, i didn't know
