a lemonade stand first
before any notes, i made a lemonade stand game that runs in the terminal. it's not much. it taught me that i could finish something and put it somewhere people could see it. that mattered

the early conversations are small. how to set the git editor. how to check if an index exists. how to read command-line input. how to iterate a map. nothing grand β just learning the language one small question at a time
the pattern from the start: pick a small problem, learn the piece of the language that solves it, move on. i wasn't trying to build anything in particular. i was just learning to build, and liking it
